Outreach

The purpose of Outreach at church of the Canyons is to fulfill the Great Commission by fostering a love for the lost, both here and abroad, and motivate those within the body to act on that love.
The ministry of local outreach exists to promote Christ's Gospel locally through the resources and the gifts that God has brought to this assembly (Acts 1:8; Ephesians 4:11-13; 1 Corinthians 12:4-27; Romans 12:4-8).
Both of these ministries are administered by The Missions Council, a group made up of representatives from many different ministries of the church. We seek to instill a outreach-mindedness into all areas and members of the church. We seek to care for the needs of our missionaries on the field and support them not only with funds but with fervent prayer, our time, and our concern.
The Missions Council desires for all members of the church body to be involved in missions locally and internationally. Locally, there are the opportunities to love those around us and present to them the gospel of Christ with our words and with our life. The church also has periodic outreach events and service opportunities, where we can come together and corporately be examples of Christ's love. Everyone can be involved with international missions through prayer. There are also opportunities to participate in short-term international missions.
