Jason Beals

College and Missions

I grew up in New Jersey, just outside of Philly and was saved out of a rough background at the age of 20. Just a few weeks after becoming a true believer in Christ, I packed up everything that I owned and moved out to Southern California to attend the Master's College. I met my future wife and best friend Stephanie while attending the college. We were both heavily involved in missions and went on several trips together through the college and missions has been an important part of our lives ever since. I graduated the Master's College with a degree in Biblical Studies and an emphasis on counseling. Soon after, I attended the Master's Seminary and finished the Master's of Divinity program in 2008. I am currently in the ThM program studying Bible Exposition.

As far as personal interests, my wife and I love to travel and not only see different parts of the world but experience other cultures and people. I love to read and study and am known for being a "Greek Geek." I grew up near Philly so I am a true, passionate Philadelphia sports fan. My wife also grew up a Philadelphia sports fan so I am truly blessed! We own a bulldog named Rocco and we have a fond affection for anything Italian. One of my biggest passions is the local church and especially Church of the Canyons

It was during my first year at college that I found Church of the Canyons. Along with my savior, Jesus Christ and my wife, Stephanie, my church greatly impacts my life. The aspect of Church of the Canyons that I cherish the most is the true family fellowship that happens every day. The people here love God, love His Word, and genuinely love His people.
